I know that when I've been in the US my accent becomes even more American and I get away with that there. I also know I'm sometimes a bit of a chameleon voice-wise. I switch a bit of accent and choice of words depending on context and where I am in the world.

Having lived in Africa for so long as a teen I know that my African English is different. So many culturally contextual things going on when I adapt to different surroundings and people. I can even switch to a very Swedish accent if I am talking English with many other swedes 😅
