In the latest episode of Carefully – about voice clones – I had a clone for my voice do a part of the audio. It’s similar but not perfect. And it would be interesting to hear how easily listeners can catch what part it is. The episode is 11 minutes long.

When you do a lot of podcast recording you know that the sound of your voice varies across the day. I don’t want to start a recording in the morning and finish it off in the evening. In that sense the difference to me between my voice and the clone is significant. But I’m not certain everyone picks up on these nuances.

More to the point: had I only used the cloned voice for all of it, it’s very hard to make out that it’s not a human speaking.

At the end of the episode is where I reveal the voice clone part, and play that part again.
