There is a logic to links in comments getting more engagement as you are forcing people to engage to receive the value of the link. Essentially you're holding the link hostage and forcing people to "pay" by tapping on your post.
I have a talk I do about this in which I ask a person in the audience if they want my book. And just as I'm about to hand it to them I instead throw it across the room and shout "It's in the comments!"
